FDA-approved in March 2022 as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes ellitus, Tirzepatide injection is a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.
In comparative head-to-head trials, Tirzepatide surpassed Semaglutide’s HbA1c reduction
by an additional 24%. According to data from Phase III trial results in type 2 diabetic patients, Tirzepatide was non-inferior and was superior to Semaglutide with respect to the mean change in HbA1c from baseline to 40 weeks.
At all doses, Tirzepatide (5mg, 10mg, 15mg) also outperformed Semaglutide (1mg) in body weight reduction after 40-weeks. At 5mg, up to 80%
of users achieved at least a 5% (15lb) reduction in body weight; at 10mg, 45% reached a 10% (20lb) reduction; and at 15mg, up to 36% of users achieved at least a 15% (25lb) reduction in body weight compared to Semaglutide users’ 54%, 24%, and 8%, respectively.
Weight loss from baseline to after 40 treatment weeks revealed that Tirzepatide (5mg, 10mg, 15mg) offered at least 30%, 60%, and up to 95% greater weight loss, respectively vs. Semaglutide 1mg.
Impact of Tirzepatide
As a GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, Tirzepatide is a 39-aminoacid modified peptide with a C20 fatty diacid
moiety that enables albumin binding and prolongs the half-life.
Tirzepatide selectively binds to and activates the GIP and GLP-1 receptors, the targets for native GIP and GLP-1.
At therapeutic doses, it acts on the brain and suppresses appetite. Used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise, Tirzepatide helps patients adhere to a reduced-calorie diet, enhancing the weight loss process.
At Defining Your Wellness, we administer semaglutide with L-carnitine. L-carnitine is an amino acid that facilitates the mobilization of fat. Combined into a single injection, these two treatments work synergistically to significantly reduce appetite and metabolize fat.

Vitamin B-12 and methionine are important nutrients required for reactions in the body that regulate fat and protein metabolism. Cyanocobalamin B12 is added to lipotropic injections for energy, mood enhancement and stable blood sugar levels.
Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is a nutrient that helps the body efficiently metabolize fats and carbohydrates. Since most B12 deficiencies come from a problem absorbing the nutrient, B12 injections have a higher efficiency rating than oral and diet supplements as they allow the nutrient to bypass your gastrointestinal tract, going straight into your system.
B12 has many health benefits including improved immune system function and memory, raised energy levels, and neurological activity support. Our bodies also depend on B12 to help reduce stress and continue to grow and repair healthy cells. B12 is also been linked to weight loss and is important for weight management.
B Complex vitamins help you feel more energetic and promote the metabolism of fats.
L- Methionine is an essential amino acid and one of the building blocks for proteins. Aside from injection or ingestion as a supplement, L-Methionine can be found in meats and dairy products, as well as spinach, potatoes, Brazil nuts and sesame seeds. It is not produced in the body and must be acquired through an external source. Methionine contains Sulphur, and is valuable for strengthening hair, nails, and cartilage.
L-Methionine is useful in the treatment of liver disease and is a recommended supplement for vegetarians. L-Methionine is important for the process of eliminating fat as it is a required for the production of cysteine and taurine, which help the body eliminate toxins.
Once considered a member of the vitamin B complex, Inositolis a carbohydrate, but is not considered a sugar. The body, however, is able to synthesize it. This carbohydrate is mainly found in fruits such as oranges, bananas, and cantaloupe, along with other food items such as raisins, peanuts, and kidney beans. Inositol is useful for signal transfer, growth and an increased fat metabolism. In sddition to thi, it can also be used in the treatment of those who suffer from depression.
When used in combination with other compounds in a MIC injection, especially choline, inositol forms lecithin, a substance that is known to aid in weight loss and the metabolism of fat.
Choline is an essential nutrient that is produced in the liver. Generally not produced in large quantities it is often grouped within the complex of B vitamins, despite not being a true B vitamin. Choline is required for the regulation of the kidneys, gallbladder, and liver.
As part of a weight loss program, choline is known to improve fat burning and metabolism. It functions as a methyl donor and assists in detoxification reactions within the liver. Soybeans, along with eggs, beef liver, cauliflower, tofu and almonds, are known sources of choline.
The components of MIC lipotropic injections, especially inositol and choline, have been found to improve mental function and feelings of depression.
